This gun from Fort Dansborg is in the Government Museum in Fort
St. George in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The gun is made of bronze and have the inscription Fridericsværck,
anno 1787 together with Chr. VII's monogram. The gun is one
of the 2 best preserved.

The second of the 2 best preserved Danish-made guns of bronze.
Fort St. George in Chennai - the Tamil name for Madras - is built
by the Englishmen from the year 1940. |
The new curator in Fort Dansborg is very
interested in preservation of the old things belonging to the
museum.
In the month of July 2003 an archaeological engineer from
Chennai visited the museum. Together with the curator and other
employees he got many of the old things out then they could be
preserved.
